Our Mental Health Awareness & Prevention program promotes well-being through education and outreach. We aim to reduce stigma, encourage open conversations, and empower individuals with tools for prevention. By prioritizing mental health, we work towards creating a supportive community that values and supports mental well-being.
QPR Gatekeeper (Suicide Prevention)
QPR is a Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Program teaches how to question, persuade, and refer to save a life. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer – three simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Gatekeepers can include anyone who is strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide. QPR is a simple educational program that teaches ordinary citizens how to recognize that warning signs of a mental health emergency and how to get a person at risk of suicide the help they need.
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns and teach a 5-step action plan for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
